This Polytechnic is a Government institution situated at Zalaki in Bijapur district and it was established in the year 2009. The institution is located in KBJNL Campus, Zalaki. The institution is currently located in a 30×80 sq.ft building of asbestos shed which is rented from KBJNL Zalaki. This is a newly started institution and lacks in infrastructural facilities.
At present, the Polytechnic is wholly run by the Government of Karnataka and comes under the purview of Directorate of Technical Education.
