K V T Polytechnic(Aided) located in C V V Campus in an area of about 110 acres of land in outskirts of Chickballapur city (just 24 km from International Airport, Devanahalli), 52 kms from Bangalore on NH 7, B B road towards Bellary and Muddenahalli. It is the birth place of world’s greatest engineer & founder of diploma course Sir M Visvesvaraya, is just 4 kms from here & Nandi hills at just 6kms. K V T Polytechnic was admitted to Grant-in-Aid in the year 2001.

      Canteen facility is available at college campus . It provides non-oily & healthy food at subsidized rates to the students.

14. Library

The KVT Polytechnic library was started in the year 1983 with a small collection of 63 books which was administered by Sri C V Venkatarayappa founder & chairman Sri KV and PE Trust, Chickballapur. Initially the library was housed in one portion of the college building and later it was shifted to the present new building which was opened in Dec-2009 by Smt CV Kamalamma, chief patron and Sri KV Naveen Kiran, Chairman of Sri KV and PE Trust Chickballapur.
The plinth area of the library building is about 1572 sq.ft in which 400 sq. ft is occupied by the stack area 1172 sq. ft is reader’s area. The library has reading hall with a seating capacity for 40 users at a time.
The library serves the information as per the needs of the students, teaching faculty and non- teaching staff .The borrowers will be numbering around 560 students from 5 department.

Library Collection:
The college library, easily accessible to all the departments in the college has steadily grown over the years and it has 9000 books as on today (date:-12-12-2012). It includes text books, reference books, and general books. The library subscribes to about 12 technical journals by spending Rs. 12271-00 per year.

Library Organisation
In order to provide better service to the users of the library, the huge and perennial growth of its collection has been arranged in such a manner that books and back volumes in technical education.

Library Staff
As on today only one member is working in the library.

Working Hours
The library is kept open for readers between 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM on all working days with the transactions at the circulation counter except Sundays and holidays.

Services
Besides, books lending service, reference service and reprography service, the library follows open access system in all the wings of the library.
