Government Polytechnic, Harihar

Government Polytechnic, Harihara is a unique Polytechnic started by the department of technical education, Karnataka, in the year Aug-2009 on the banks of the river Tunga Bhadra. Harihara is a maidan region with a beautiful landscape and is the taluk headquarter and known for its historical, literary and cultural significance.

The Polytechnic is wholly run by the Government of Karnataka and comes under the purview of Directorate of Technical Education. This is one of the reputed institution in the state of Karnataka, established in the academic year 2009-2010.

This Institution has a sanctioned intake of 252 students / year. Many of our passed-out students are well placed in different companies, Public/Private Sector industries and many of our students joined higher education. Academic excellence in diploma programs has made this Polytechnic one of the recognized institution in the district.
