Diploma in Fashion Design after 10th

Lovely Professional University,Punjab offers two very interesting and extremely creative courses in Fashion Designing. These Diploma courses can be taken immediately after your 10th standard.

The two courses are:

Diploma in Fashion Designing	6 semesters	3 year course
Dual Programme Diploma in Fashion Design – B.Design (Fashion)	12 semesters	6 year course

 

Diploma in Fashion Designing

 

This is an hands-on course teaching you the basics of fashion designing and also practically readying you for the industry. Pattern making and garment construction will be keenly stressed upon in this course. The course is perfect for someone who wants a hands-on and fast idea of the industry and the basics of designing. As the eligibility is just a 10th pass with 50% it allows you to get a headstart in the industry as compared to someone doing a bachelors in the same.

You will have to sit for the Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test in order to be eligible to be admitted. The entrance test is held for all courses and gives you an opportunity to get a scholarship in the course you apply for.

 

The course is held with two semesters a year,the Autumn term and the Spring term. The fees for the course is Rs. 39,500 although that amount can be brought down by a huge margin with a scholarship. A scholarship of upto Rs.30,000 is given for people who score above 98% in their 10th board exam or above 90% in the entrance test. The scholarship amount gets lesser as the marks reduce but there is scholarships for people with as less as 70% in their board exams.

 

Dual Programme Diploma in Fashion Design – B.Design (Fashion)

 

This is an internationally accepted course and is more intense and in detail as compared to Diploma in Fashion Designing. This course is a dual programme covering both a Diploma in Fashion Design and a Bachelors in Design(Fashion). This course is the go to course for anyone who is sure this is what they want to do eventually and so could start studying Fashion Designing immediately after their 10 grade. By the end of it this course would give you a huge edge over the ones who only did the diploma. It’s a longer course but a more rewarding one.
