Akshaya Polytechnic, Tumkur is established in the year 2012. The campus is spread over 25 acres of land with lush green lawns away from the maddening crowd. The campus has wide spread buildings with an administrative block and an academic block, there are spacious lecture halls and well equipped laboratories. There is a well-stocked library and a tidy workshop.

It is one of the rural engineering colleges in Tumkur District offering Technical education to rural students in the state of Karnataka, setup with the objective of imparting high academic excellence to produce world class engineers. In this direction the Institute has developed a well qualified & dedicated faculty along with laboratories, containing equipments of research level. This Institution has a mission & vision to facilitate grooming of the engineers of tomorrow. Akshaya Polytechnic is a student centre place and our endeavor is to ensure that our students get the best that is needed to create outstanding engineers.

Campus

Campus has well built up area and good academic infrastructure with lush green water harvesting, environment preservation.

Labs
Well-equipped Physics lab

Well equipped modern lab with all infrastructural facilities as per the norms. Individual equipments to each & every students. The major equipments are Spectrometer, Travelling microscope & many more optical instruments.

Well-equipped Chemistry lab

Well equipped modern lab with all safety measures for the safeguard of the students. Individual attention for all students to instrumentation analysis.

Computer Center

The computer center is highly sophisticated and flexible for students. Students are allowed to use internet facilities.

Hostel

Girls Hostel
The girls hostel has capacity for 350 students. Each student is provided with an almirah, cot, table & chair as well as English & Hindi newspapers. The students are taken care by providing daily three meals, T.V. for their entertainment. Sweet dish and special diet are provided on Saturdays & Sundays. The hostel timings are from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The students are also provided with 24 hrs. telephone & Internet facility. There is a movement register for the inmates which is strictly followed. The hostel is guarded by 24 hrs security guard.

Boys Hostel
The boys hostel has initial capacity for 400 students. The students taking admission in 1st year are encouraged to reside in hostel so that they are safe from ragging. Each student is provided with an almirah, cot, table & chair as well as English & Hindi newspapers. There is T.V. & sports (both indoor & outdoor games) for their entertainment. There is in-house Multi-Gym for those who want to keep themselves fit & healthy and 24 hrs Telephone & Internet facility. They are given three times meals per day & special diet on weekends. The students make use of college bus in attending college daily. There is 24 hrs facility for security guard.

Transport
The Institution is well connected to different parts of the city by its own buses in which students and staff commutes everyday from various parts of Tumkur city.

Library
Library, the treasure house of information is the nerve center of intellectual activity of any institution. Library and information center is located in an independent spacious block with an area of 587 sqm, at present library has 6559 volumes, 1468 Titles and reference books, periodicals, reports and standard specifications. 8 National and 4 International journals are also subscribed.

Separate Reading Room and News paper section provided in the library. The Library has a separate Internet Browsing Center with 25 nodes that interconnected and provided with 100 Mbps connectivity.

Training And Placement

Our motto is to Place the students in the companies of their choice. The right job in the right company. Our objective is to achieve 100% placement through academic excellence and employability skills as per Industry standards.

Our students are working in many reputed industries and performing extremely well in their companies. We are helping our students to develop entrepreneurial spirit in them during their stay in our Institute. We have planned to open an innovation centre in our Institute to help our students to do innovation and which leads to entrepreneurship.

Placement department takes the responsibility of counselling students and parents during their admission to our Institute and also in shaping their personality to make them perfect engineers of future.

We have a dedicated and committed team of faculties in the Training and Placement department under the efficient leadership of Training and Placement Head.
