BVVS Polytechnic,Bagalkote was established in 1958 under Grant-in-Aid code with three engineering branches. Presently the polytechnic offers eight Engineering diploma Courses and One Non-Engineering diploma Course. Since 1999, the institution is an academically autonomous institute. Five courses were accredited by AICTE-NBA, New Delhi in 2007.

BVVS Polytechnic (Autonomous), is a premier technical institution situated at Bagalkot providing quality based formal and non-formal education in technical, non-technical and professional fields to meet the need of the society. BVVS Polytechnic is committed.

The Placement & Training Cell aims to provide adequate technical exposure, industrial training to the students and enabling them to get employment in the different reputed industries, organizations and government sectors. It also takes suggestions from members of industry regarding designing/changing of the curriculum. It organizes Industry Institute meet and technical project exhibition in collaboration with industries every year. The college has signed MOUs with many industrial organizations.The reputed Companies like JSW, TVS, L&T, John Deere, Regen Powertech, BEL, Scania Motors, Cipla, Tata Marcopolo, TAML (Tata Advanced Material Lab) regularly visit our College for the recruitment drives.
